Tile and Panel Usage Estimator

Enter rectangular areas to estimate same-size tile or panel and full-box counts. The reserve percentage is an editable assumption, not a universal recommendation.

Drafts are not saved. Switching language asks to clear any work first.

Area worksheet

An area estimate for same-size tiles or panels. No layout or cutting plan is provided; purchase and installation outcomes are not guaranteed.

The tool is not ready. If this message remains, check that JavaScript is available and reload. Inputs will not be submitted.

Installed and deducted areas

Installed areas

1 / 20 areas

Enter each rectangle in meters (m). Use 1–20 installed areas.

Deducted areas

0 / 20 areas

Rectangles that will not be covered; 0–20 areas. Only their areas are subtracted. Avoid overlap, repeated deductions and areas outside the installed space.

Piece size and packaging assumptions

Use the same tile or panel dimensions throughout. You can edit all values below.

ASCII digits and a period; greater than 0 up to 1000 cm, up to 1 decimal.

ASCII digits and a period; greater than 0 up to 1000 cm, up to 1 decimal.

ASCII integer, 1–1000; no decimal point.

ASCII digits and a period; 0–50%, up to 1 decimal. The initial 10.0% is an assumption, not a universal recommendation.

Use ASCII digits and a period. If your keyboard gives a comma or full-width symbols, use a period instead. The tool does not rewrite drafts.

Model and limits

The installed area minus the deducted area must be positive. The base count is net area ÷ piece area, rounded up. The reserve count is net area × (1 + reserve percentage) ÷ piece area, rounded up. Divide that count by pieces per box and round up again for full boxes. Extra pieces are the purchased count minus the reserve count.

No construction, structural, price, tax or installation-cost advice is provided. Inputs stay in this page; they are not saved, put in a URL or uploaded. Initial loading still downloads website files.

Frequently asked questions

Does this give an exact purchase quantity?

No. It estimates from total area and does not model layout, cuts, or installation loss, so it cannot guarantee the amount you need.

Is the default 10% reserve a recommendation?

No. It is an editable starting assumption, not a universal recommendation.

Do deducted areas need positions?

No. The tool subtracts their summed areas and does not detect overlap or check whether they lie inside an installed area. Avoid subtracting the same space twice.

Can I use it offline?

A page that is already loaded can calculate. Offline reload is not guaranteed because the tool does not provide offline caching.

Clear this estimate?

This clears all areas, dimensions, assumptions and results.
